A year of Success for HITsa's Students in Work Placement
This year has been a remarkable one for students participating in work placement associated with their qualifications. Across a variety of industries, students have embraced the opportunity to: gain hands-on experience, develop and nurture relationships, make meaningful connections, build confidence and develop effective communication skills.
HITsa students communicated that their placement significantly enhanced their understanding of their chosen field, while our work placement partners praised the enthusiasm, adaptability and professionalism of HITsa’ s students. Key highlights include students receiving job offers post-placement and building lasting professional networks within their new chosen industry.
HITsa has many standout stories from students gaining part-time employment whilst studying Early Childhood Education and Care, to students who secured full-time positions as Support Workers in Disability and Aged Care.
These success stories highlight the value of work placements in bridging the gap between classroom learning and career readiness. As the year closes, we look forward to building on this momentum, expanding placement opportunities, and celebrating even more student achievements in 2025.
HITsa would like to extend our gratitude to our partnered host organisations for their invaluable support. Together, we are empowering our students to thrive, and we deeply appreciate your dedication and partnership.
Congratulations to all students for an outstanding year!

School of the Air
Congratulations to our recent graduates!
HITsa trainer Raj has had the pleasure of training these governesses for the duration of their qualification through Virtual Training Delivery.
These students are all located in different rural locations across South Australia and have made a solid effort to attend each and every day of training.
Being a governess means living and working away from home and with that brings challenges, many being IT related! Whether it was a power outage when a generator has blown, a Starlink satelite being out of service or a lengthy commute to their nearest internet tower, these governesses always persevered and showed up when the stars aligned.
Pictured below is a snap of their final class via Microsoft Teams, great to see big smiles on everyone's face. HITsa wishes these dedicated students all the very best for their bright futures. Thank you for letting us be a part of your journey.
We are excited to be able to offer this program again in 2025 - visit us here to find out more information

Certificate III in Individual Support
Recent graduates from HITsa Salisbury, Katie and Rosey, have shared their experience on their last day of training in the above qualification.
"I have just completed this qualification, specialising in disability. My time studying for this course was an incredibly pleasurable experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the adult learning process and meeting wonderful new people who I can now call friends. The learning was engaging and easy to understand and the support from the lecturers was outstanding. I would like to make a special mention of a few people. Starting with reception, Amanda was always polite, helpful and a joy to talk to - a great friendly face to greet us weekly. Lundi was always there, willing to listen and assist, especially with my ADHD struggles, and I greatly appreciate the help she gave me.
Our lecturers Raj, Monika, Puneet, Manmeet and Lizzy were all incredible. Not only were they extremely helpful and understanding, they provided us with knowledge we now use in our daily lives. We think of Lizzy every time we remember to put the toilet lid down Lol. We will miss seeing all of your faces each week and they joy of learning from you whilst building friendships.
Finally, I want to thank HITsa for the ongoing support and for giving us the chance to grow, make a career and see our dreams come true". Rosey S.
"My experience at HITsa was absolutely incredible. School was always a challenge for me, expecially with my dyslexia, but at HITsa, that was never an issue. The teachers were beyond amazing - Raj, Lizzy, Puneet, Manmeet and Monika really knew how to make learning feel effortless. And the office staff... they went above and beyond, always ready to help with anything. I honestly can't say enough good things about HITsa. If you're thinking about studying but feeling unsure, trust me - you won't regret choosing HITsa. It's an experience that'll change everything for you in the best way". Katie R.

Certificate III in Retail
Ellie completed this qualification in November, pictured here with Jo receiving her certificate. Thank you Ellie for sharing your experience - we wish you every success in your search for a career in retail.
"My name is Ellie and I completed a Certificate III in Retail qualification with HITsa. As someone who is anxious about starting new things and education in general, my experience with HITsa was very positive and something I will never forget. All the staff I communicated with were all very helpful when I needed help with something and were very accepting with any adjustments I needed to make my qualification easier to get through. If I hadn't completed something or got an answer wrong on my assessment, the trainer helped me to understand where I went wrong and I would have another chance to get it correct next time.
I plan on using my certificate to get a job in retail, or as a barista or hotel staff member. The skills I learnt are very helpful in all areas of work that I am trying to apply for, as well as newer areas I haven't had the opportunity to apply for until now. I have no doubt that the new skills I have will get me a job in an area I am interested in and I am very thankful that I was able to study with HITsa so that I could master these skills".

Prepare and Serve Espresso Coffee
We were thrilled to have students from Kokatha Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC, located in SA's remote North, at a recent Prepare and Serve Espresso Coffee course at Clarence Gardens.
Under Trainer Carlo's guidance, our students developed their knowledge and skill at making the perfect cup of coffee.
And they certainly did not disappoint!
Learners practiced their coffee making by serving the HITsa team a cup of their favourite brew. Hot Chocolate and a Flat White with coffee art that could have come from an experienced Barista!
Whilst other RTO's deliver their coffee course in a day, HITsa's three day course gives participants the chance to thoroughly explore, practice and develop the art of coffee making. Students finish the course with the confidence to tackle the most complex coffee order no matter the milk request, coffee style or the size of the cup.
We wish our Kokatha students safe travels home and thank them for choosing HITsa.
