HITsa is joining up with Workforce Australia and SYC in March to deliver it's next Local Jobs Program - Can Care.
This training provides skills to work in a diverse care industry and could lead to employment opportunities in Aged Care, Community Services, Individual Support and more.
The timetable is set with 3 weeks of training, 4 days a week, with the first intake commencing 12th March at HITsa Salisbury.
Students will gain training in a mix of 7 accredited and non-accredited units including HLTAID011 Provide First Aid, CHCCCS015 Provide Individualised Support and Manual Handling.

will provide you with a broad range of Administrative Skills
This course is suitable for those looking to gain employment in an office-based role, or those who are currently working in an admin role and would like to engage in a formal qualification.
The combination of independent and classroom-based learning will allow you to meet and network with like-minded students, as well as progress through activities at your own pace outside of the classroom.
This qualification is only offered through a traineeship arrangement, meaning you must be employed under a contract of training. This allows you to earn whilst you learn and is a suitable pathway for those wishing to enter the industry with little to no prior experience.

HITsa is excited to announce the much awaited roll out of the new qualification CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support!
Salisbury and Clarence Gardens will be commencing in both Ageing and Disability from mid March. Contact us on 8375 2800 for more information or click on the link below:
For existing students of the superseded qualification [CHC33015], HITsa's health team have been busy scheduling remaining classes between Salisbury, Clarence Gardens and Mount Barker to ensure completion. Once a student's classroom requirements are met, work placements will be organised by HITsa for those not working in the industry.

Work Placement with SA Care
HITsa has partnered with SA CARE who kindly host Individual Support students for work placement within the disability sector across their various sites around Adelaide.
This offers students in the northern suburbs with the opportunity to undertake a work placement in SA CARE’s newest site at Brown Terrace Salisbury.
Students will engage with residents who live independently, require social support, and or gain experience with some high care need residents.
Through direct interaction with individuals facing various disabilities, students will develop a deeper appreciation for the challenges and triumphs of those living with disabilities. This firsthand experience will foster empathy, compassion, and a greater sense of inclusivity.
