PRE EMPLOYMENT

Milky Lane and SYC teamed up with HITsa in November for a pre-employment program which saw all 21 participants gain employment at Adelaide's coolest new burger joint.

HITsa staff were invited to Milky Lane's family and friends only event in November. The team had the treat of devouring juicy burgers and sipping on colourful cocktails for the afternoon.

The event was fun and exciting, the venue looks amazing and the Milky Lane staff were a happy and bubbly bunch, with exceptional customer service skills. Milky Lane's owner Marc is a wonderful host and he has a great team of staff to back up such a successful launch.

Check out some of our photos - thanks Milky Lane!

WRAPPING UP 2023 IN HEALTH

Barossa Enterprises Upskill Program Complete

At the start of the year HITsa partnered with Barossa and Clare Enterprises to deliver CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) to 10 people in their workplace.

HITsa established a training schedule to suit the staff and employer by creating a blended delivery timetable. This involved online self-paced learning, face-to-face classes and practical skills days delivered at either the workplace (Barossa Enterprises) or at HITsa training rooms at Salisbury. This allowed the students to balance their work and study commitments well.

All students successfully completed the qualification in October and had excellent feedback about the program and particularly their experience with Trainer, Corina.

“Corina is fantastic – it was so great to have a regular trainer who we all connected with. We learned so much from Corina and will miss her”.

TALKING TRAINING

CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) Graduate Over the Moon

Recent health graduate Irene L has shared her experience of her time training with HITsa:

"I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone at HITsa Training & Employment for the support I have received whilst undertaking the CHC33015 Certificate III Individual Support (Ageing). The staff were very helpful, lovely and friendly.

I found the online modules very easy to complete, with plenty of time allocated to do so. The in-class training & assessment days that follow each online module are incredibly helpful as the trainers encourage group participation and discussions.

HITsa's Workplace Coordinator Jeanette found a Residential Care facility for my placement very soon after my interview - only 5 minutes from my house which was amazing!

I was well supported at Resthaven Marion by all staff members. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and learnt so much from my time there. The work placement really cements the theory you learn in class, to the practical experiences you gain while being supported within the industry.

The weekly phone calls and a work placement visit from a HITsa Trainer was so valuable as it enabled me to feel confident and very supported.

I enjoyed getting to know the residents at Resthaven and was offered employment after work placement. I am about to embark on a new journey within a new career and feel so lucky and grateful.

I highly recommend HITsa Training & Employment and encourage everyone to use their services. My career as a support worker is about to begin which has made a huge difference for my future".

HITsa have connected with CHR Group, a team specialising in providing seamless Federal wage subsidy claims processes. They have a proven track record in auditing outstanding claims and processing them on behalf of clients.

If you're interested in securing your outstanding subsidies before their expiry, contact [email protected] we will then link you with CHR Group and they can discuss their services in detail and address any questions you may have.

What are assessment requirements?

All accredited units of training contain certain assessment requirements.

These can be broken down into 3 sections:

  1. Knowledge requirements – these outline what a student must know so they can perform work tasks safely and effectively.
  2. Performance requirements – these outline the skills that a student must demonstrate, including the number of times they must demonstrate each skill.
  3. Assessment conditions – these outline what a student must have access to so they can complete their assessment. Conditions may include specific equipment, materials, relationships and timeframes.

All assessment requirements are outlined for students to view in their Student Assessment Workbooks for each unit of accredited training
